Hangar-7 - Red Bull
Red Bull is much more than just a famous energy drink. They are involved in a wide range of sports and extreme records. Did you know that Red Bull is owned by a very enterprising man from Salzburg?
Next to Salzburg Airport you can visit the beautiful Red Bull Museum Hangar-7, where you can get up close to extreme planes, helicopters, Formula 1 cars and much more.
Admission is free and there is a very good restaurant next to the museum. A visit to Hangar-7 is recommended for the whole family.
Felix Baumgartner
Daredevil Felix Baumgartner became a household name in 2012 when he broke all previous records by jumping out of the Red Bull Stratos at an altitude of 39 kilometres with nothing but a parachute. Red Bull was behind the extreme endeavour and Felix took the record for being the first person to break the sound barrier without mechanical assistance.
Extreme sports
Red Bull has always been involved in extreme sports. Hangar-7 displays a wide range of Formula 1 cars, helicopters, planes and motorcycles that they have sponsored or used themselves over the years.
Walk around the impressive hangar and enjoy the beautiful machines.
The Restaurant
Ikaros Restaurant is highly recommended if you are looking for a top class dining experience. Each month a top international chef is flown in to take over the restaurant and menu for that month.
