Hotel Planai in Schladming
The best location in Schladming
10 Meters from the Hotel entrance the Planai-Gondola takes you up to 1.830 meters altitude, where you find the start of the mountain bike park, the Hopsiland-kids adventure land and the beginning of many hiking trails.
The local busses also stop in front of the hotel and take you to all attractions and activities in the area. The town center with its pedestrian zone and multitude of shops and cafes is also just 100 Meters from the hotel.
At the hotel you find everything you need for a perfect stay in the Alps. A restaurant to eat, a bar to drink, a sauna area to relax, a play room for children, a small pool to cool off, a sun terrace to catch some sun, a garage to park your car and bike-room to stow your sports gear. You’ll also find a sports shop with a bike rental next to the hotel and a small supermarket in the same building as the hotel.
Facilities at Hotel Planai
At hotel Planai you find everything you need for a perfect holiday in the Alps. The hotel opened in 2012 and all facilities are modern and are continuously updated where necessary. We at hotel Planai believe that good service starts with providing the best facilities available.
Shopping & Bike Rental
In the basement of the hotel there is a small supermarket and next to the hotel entrance you will find a sports shop with a bike rental.
Parking garage
Guests arriving by car can park in our underground car park (2.10m high) for €12 per night. The entrance to the underground car park is the same as the entrance to the BILLA supermarket. If the garage is full, our staff will direct you to other options nearby. The garage is accessible by lift from the hotel.
We offer four charging stations for electric cars. The stations are located in the underground parking house. Prior reservation is not possible due to high demand. Should you require the station, please type it in the reservation.
Bike storage
Your bike can be stored in the ski basement of the building.
For Children
Children are important to us! Therefore you will find a children's playroom on the ground floor, where they can play, no matter if the weather participates or not. Various toys and a playground are available for our youngest guests. (Parents are responsible for their children.) Older children are invited to try our game consoles.
Restaurant & Bar
On the ground floor you’ll find our light-flooded restaurant, where breakfast, lunch, coffee and dinner are served. Next to the restaurant is our hotel bar, where you can treat yourself to a beer, a glass of wine or a drink after dinner.
Roof Terrace & Pool
On our roof terrace you can enjoy the sun, treat yourself to a cool drink, or cool off in our small pool. The pool is especially popular with our younger guests. Some of our rooms have direct access to the terrace rather than their own balcony. Our pool is open every day from 10:00 - 21:00.
Sauna area
On the top floor of the hotel you will find our small but fine sauna area with views of the Alps and over the roofs of Schladming. Here you find two different types of saunas, a steam bath, a relaxation room and a roof terrace. Our sauna area is open every day from 15:00 - 21:00.
Please be aware that if you need a bathrobe or slippers you can get this in the reception for an extra fee of EUR 10,- for a bathrobe and EUR 2,20,- for slippers. You can get towels in the reception free of charge.

For your wellbeing and your safety our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day.
A flexible meal plan at Hotel Planai
In the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel our chef will spoil you with delicious meals every day. Our Austrian chef is supported by an international team with cooks from Portugal, Spain and Poland. Should you suffer from allergies, please let us know in advance and we’ll put together a wholesome and delicious alternative.
Stay with breakfast
Start the day with a rich breakfast so that you are well prepared for an active day in the Salzburg Alps. Our breakfast buffet includes a variety of breads and pastries, sausages and cheeses, a selection of jams and spreads, as well as yoghurt, cereals, fruits and fresh egg dishes. Coffee, tea and various fruit juices are of course also included in the breakfast. Breakfast is from 07:30 to 10:00 and for the late riser breakfast is still open from 10:00 to 11:00.

Stay with All Inclusive Light
Breakfast is included in the All Inclusive Light stay, soup is available from 12:00 - 13:00, coffee and cake are served from 15:30 - 16:30 and for the grand finale, there is our evening buffet including salad buffet. Dinner will be served between 18:00 - 21:00. Drinks such as coffee, tea, non-alcoholic drinks, house wine (red and white), draft beer, spirits such as gin, rum, vodka, brandy and fruit brandies are included in the room rate from 18:00 to 21:00.

There is free Wi-Fi internet in the entire hotel. Speed and stability can vary depending on number of users.
Dogs
Throughout the summer season guests traveling with a dog are welcome at Hotel Planai. Pre-registration is required and the rooms for dogs are subject to availability. The hotel staff will select the room, and therefore any special room requests cannot always be considered. Dogs allowed up to 15kg (without food) Euro 20, - / night, must be supervised in the room and do not have access to public areas.
City tax
City tax is not included in the price and will be charged on arrival in the Hotel.

The modern and stylish hotel Planai has 94 well-equipped rooms on offer. We sell double rooms for up to 4 persons and family rooms for up to 6 persons. All rooms have their own balcony or direct access to our large sun terrace.
All our 94 rooms have a balcony or terrace, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as:
Floor heating, flatscreen TV, safe, hairdryer, makeup mirror, towels and seating area.
Double room with double bed and possibility of 2 extra people in bunk bed
A standard double room has a double bed and a fold-down bunk bed. This means there is room for 2-4 people. The rooms are 24 m2 and you can look forward to either a balcony or a terrace.

2 connecting double rooms (4 pers.) - possibility of 4 extra beds
With this type of room you get the same layout as a standard double room, but you get a connecting door to another double room. This means there is room for twice as many guests and the rooms together are 48 m2.

Family room with 2 bedrooms (5-6 persons)
Two connected double rooms, one with a sitting area and a double bed, the other with a double bed and a bunk bed. There is a shared bathroom and toilet and each room has either a balcony or terrace. This type is for 5-6 people and measures approximately 36-39 m2.
